Hello everybody. Today, I found out about Flavors - Cancer For Christmas - Five Ways To Make Christmas Enjoyable For Loved Ones Enduring Chemotherapy. Which could be very helpful to me therefore you. Cancer For Christmas - Five Ways To Make Christmas Enjoyable For Loved Ones Enduring Chemotherapy

Recently I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Even though I have known cancer survivors and there is tons of literature on surviving cancer, I have discovered there are still a few surprises. My friends and family have been a amazing support. Here are five ways that I have discovered, along with them, to be able to endure chemotherapy and still enjoy Christmas.

What I said. It isn't in conclusion that the true about Flavors. You see this article for facts about a person want to know is Flavors.

Scents- After my first rehabilitation I noticed that there were scents that were intolerable to me. The scent of whatever with a chemical base was particularly obnoxious, cleaning products, perfume and scented candles to name a few. If you are helping a loved one by cleaning for them, vinegar and water works best. Add a few drops of lavender oil to any generic, odorless lotion instead of using perfume. Scented candles are best tolerated when not lit. Leaving the lid off of a candle in a jar adds just enough scent to the room. Good than candles, however, are oranges spiked with cloves, sprigs of rosemary or mint for aromatherapy.

Foods- There are different side effects of chemotherapy that make eating difficult, especially in the first week. I discovered very early on that ice cream is my friend. Bring a loved one any pints of different flavors. While onion and garlic are foods you want to have in your diet, they are too harsh at this time. Instead, I use garlic flavored olive oil and shallots or leeks instead of onions. When I can eat solid food, I roughly live on pasta sautéed in a petite garlic flavored olive oil, parsley and lots of asiago cheese.

A Christmas Tree- Fatigue is a very real side supervene of roughly all types of chemotherapy. Decorating for Christmas just feels like too much to handle but having no decorations would be too depressing and a reminder of how difficult life is this year. Volunteer to put up a Christmas tree for loved ones and take it down. There are also some gorgeous table top trees which are inexpensive that you can bring as a gift. I get great joy from my tree which my girls set up for me. It is a cheery spot on a gloomy day.

Laughter- Bring them Dvd's that are light hearted or comedic in nature. Old shows such as I Love Lucy or Abbot and Costello keep me laughing. I also enjoy romantic comedies such as Sleepless in Seattle or You've Got Mail. Now is not the time to keep Cnn on a running loop on the Tv. While I am aware of all of the horrific things that can and are happening in the world, I can't deal with an influx of that information at this time. I find when fighting for my life, I want to remember all of the reasons that life is good and well worth fighting for.

I am a person- Remember when dealing with a loved one that they are still a person, not a disease. I tend to laugh and make jokes about what is happening to me. I get asked all of the time how I can joke about the cancer. How can I not? I laughed and joked before I got cancer and some of the side effects are just too ridiculous for words, what I like to call God's petite ironies. For instance, how can I lose all of the hair on my body, in places I don't even want to mention but still have hairy knees? Is the hair on my knees super hair?

Please keep in mind that no matter what you try and do for a loved one, cancer is a solitary event. Everyone's contact is different. I am one of the lucky ones. They caught my cancer very early. When I am accomplished my treatments, I can look send to a very high rate of recovery. Having said that, I hope these ideas which I have shared help to brighten this Christmas for you and your loved ones.

When I was a limited girl I loved to be in the kitchen with my Mom Mom, especially when she was cooking Christmas dinner. I have lots of fond memories of Mom Mom in her hand embroidered apron standing over a stove top filled with pots and pans full of fabulous smells. The table was all the time set with the best china and a hand embroidered table cloth. I remember licking the beaters of the mixer after the mashed potatoes were done. I remember my Pop Pop carving the turkey at the table. Every time I see the Norman Rockwell painting leisure from Want, which shows a woman placing a large turkey on the table in front of her family, I think of our family Christmas dinner.

When I got married and started my own family I wanted to make sure that my daughters would have the same types of memories to carry with them and to share with their own children someday. I started having them in the kitchen very early on. I want them to be able to cook, and to enjoy it. Today my daughter's are in their 20's and they both have children, and we all get together to cook our family Christmas dinner.

Our favorite mean isn't necessarily the turkey, although we positively enjoy it. Every Christmas we have what we call our holiday ham. It's a fabulous glazed ham studded with cloves and enhanced with pineapples and cherries covered in a rich thick glaze of ginger, brown sugar, garlic, mustard and orange. My mother is the first in the family to have had a ham for Christmas dinner.

Our Christmas turkey is a big one, 22 pounds. We all the time cook it with a primary sage flavored stuffing inside it. I would be concerned about a dry turkey if I didn't stuff it. The family's favorite stuffing is positively cooked on the side. It's one I learned to make from my mother-in-law, a Sage Sausage and Apple Stuffing. It's flavorful and hearty and made even more good because we use homemade turkey broth to make it.

We have many new dishes we've added to our Christmas dinner menu. One is Pearl Onions AuGratin, an additional one is Brussels Sprouts and Bacon. The brussels sprouts are shredded in the food processor, along with an onion. Bacon is browned and the brussels sprouts are cooked in a bit of the bacon fat. The bacon is then crumbled on top. Every one of my family loves this recipe, even the youngest, my five year old grandson.

My grandson is also learning to cook. In order to keep his interest in the kitchen his mother allows him to cook his favorite things. This is my Mom Mom's fudge. It's all the time on our Christmas dessert table, along with a Red Velvet Cake, also Mom Mom's recipe.

For our family the fun of our Christmas dinner is cooking old favorites and adding new recipes. It's especially fun that everyone enjoys being in the kitchen and we truly enjoy cooking together. My oldest daughter is pregnant with her first child, who is due to be born in the Spring. We all can't wait to have an additional one set of hands in the kitchen.

Hello everybody. Yesterday, I found out about Flavors - Christmas Stocking Stuffers - Ideas For everybody. Which may be very helpful if you ask me and also you. Christmas Stocking Stuffers - Ideas For everybody

While everyone gets excited about the big gifts that are under the tree at Christmas, Christmas stocking stuffers can also be a source of great excitement. The trick is to make sure that you fill the stockings with items that are just as piquant as what is under the tree.

What I said. It shouldn't be in conclusion that the real about Flavors. You check out this article for home elevators a person need to know is Flavors.

Children and adults alike can be delighted by what they find in their stockings on Christmas morning. Although some families simply fill Christmas stockings with cheap candy, fruit or token gifts, it can be a lot of fun to start a new house tradition of filling the Christmas stockings with special, more costly (or more unique) gifts.

Here are a few ideas for memorable Christmas stocking stuffers:

Toys: when it comes to little ones you can't go wrong with toys. There are such a wide range to select from that you'll have no problem looking something for a child of all ages.

Jewelry: it comes as no surprise that jewelry is one of the favorite Christmas stocking stuffers around. Jewelry is small and can also be quite expensive; however, this does not have to be the case. If you are filling the stocking of a child, you can simply put costume or seasonal jewelry in the stocking. Children can even make jewelry for mom and use that as a stocking stuffer. If you want to make the gift truly the talk of the day and something that will be bragged about for weeks to come, then an costly piece of jewelry might be the best option.

Photographs: small framed photos can be a very thoughtful stocking stuffer. You can even make the gift even more extra by having children decorate the photo frame. Another idea for photographs would be to purchase small photo frames with magnets on the back. These make cute refrigerator magnets and will bring a smile to the recipient's face each time he or she looks at them.

Candy: you can go with the customary reasonable candy for the stocking, but for a extra treat purchase the costly chocolates that the recipient would never purchase any other time. This makes a decadent gift that will actually be enjoyed (and will disappear quickly).

Coffee and tea: if you have a coffee or tea lover to buy for, fill up the stocking with flavored teas and coffees. You can also find small sizes of flavored creamer, as well.

Gift cards: purchase a gift card for the recipient's favorite store or restaurant. Use a small box or tin to wrap it in. If you're not sure which store or bistro to purchase a gift card from, you can always purchase a prepaid Visa gift card. These prepaid cards are acceptable anywhere you can use a debit Visa (even online). A prepaid Visa gift card is also a great idea as a Christmas stocking stuffer for a college student.

No matter either you rule to go with an costly gift or the customary less-expensive gifts as Christmas stocking stuffers, the most leading part is that you put a great deal of understanding and care into whatever you rule to give. Your thoughtfulness will shine straight through and make a big impression on whoever receives your extra stocking stuffer.
