Still, I can't deny that the shakes are very favorite because they are filling, easy and suitable to consume, and tasty. They come in a decent range of nice flavors (Dutch Chocolate, French Vanilla, Swiss Mocha, etc.) and you can get them ready to drink or you can get the kind that you mix in a blender (the 55 - these are my favorite.)

Other liquids ready on this diet are soups, cappuccinos, fruit drinks (I like using these over shaved ice for a snow cone), hot chocolate (I like to mix it with the cappuccino to replace my morning Starbucks), and the momentum metabolism boosters which are sort of like the Crystal Light powders that you place in water and shake up (these are suppose to help speed your metabolism). All of these are pretty decent but the shakes are the biggest staple for me. I like to add to them to give myself more variety. I add fat and sugar free syrups and sometimes fat free whipped cream.

Medifast Solid Food Options (Eggs, Chili, Oatmeal, Pudding, and Stews): I have learned how to do a lot with the solid food options provided on this diet. The eggs are pretty good standard but I like to add fat free cheese and veggies to make an omelet.  I will sometimes wrap them in a fat free tortilla to make a morning meal wrap. I use the chili with fat free cheese to make a burrito.  

The pudding can be used as a main ingredient in recipes that make muffins and cookies.

The oatmeal is a mainstay of my diet. I find it taste very similar to Quaker brand and I have no question eating it level up. It too comes in a few separate flavors (apple cinnamon, blueberry, peach, etc.) for variety.

Medifast Snacks: Crackers, Chips, Bars: possibly the most favorite of the Medifast snacks (although many eat these for lunch) are the bars. They are very tasty / filling and come in very favorite flavors like chocolate mint, caramel nut, and peanut butter. I was afraid they would have the chalky, dry taste of a protein bar but they don't. Most are precisely kind of chewy with a pleasant texture.  

There are also soy crisps (sort of like baked potato chips) in flavors like apple cinnamon, ranch, and cheddar. There are also multi grain crackers (kind of like wheat thins or Triscuit) which are not too bad, especially dipped in hummus or fat free sour cream.

Admittedly, I take some liberties with dressing up the foods, but it hasn't impeded my develop at all and this has helped me stick with it.

Basically you eat five of these "Medifast meals" per day and then get ready one "lean and green" meal on your own (which is why the favorite women's diet that Genie Francis and Kristi Swanson are on is called the "5 plus .")
